In an interview with the wedding planner, Wolfgang Fischer explains why you should definitely consider platinum rings.

Wedding planner: Platinum rings are usually considered very expensive - why?

Wolfgang Fischer: At Fischer Trauringe , we have always used the precious metal platinum to produce both simple and unusual wedding rings. Platinum is a high-quality material that was considered very expensive in the past. Its price was higher than that of other precious metals. Ten years ago, platinum cost more than twice as much as gold. It is usually offered in the 950/- alloy. This means that 95% of 100% metal is pure platinum. Platinum also has a high density and is therefore heavier than gold, for example.

Wedding planner: The price of platinum is relatively low at the moment. Why is that?

Wolfgang Fischer: The price of platinum is formed on the stock exchange, where supply and demand meet. As demand for platinum has tended to decline in recent times, supply has outweighed demand, which is why prices have been lowered. This price mechanism always stands and falls with demand.

Wedding planner: Is the end of the favorable price already in sight?

Wolfgang Fischer: This is difficult to assess. As platinum is not only used in the jewelry sector, but also in industry, it depends on several factors. At the moment, however, it looks as if prices will remain constant.

Wedding planner: What are the advantages of platinum rings for bridal couples?

Wolfgang Fischer: Platinum can really be described as a "carefree metal". Pure platinum does not cause allergies, proves to be a hard and strong material and is resistant to solvents and chemicals. It is heavier than gold, which means that even narrower rings have a great, high-quality feel. In addition, platinum does not rub off and is therefore ideal for daily ring wear.

If white precious metal, then platinum in any case! However, when manufacturing wedding rings, it is not only the material used that is important, but
but also the design and finish of the surface. Artfully designed surfaces are a traditional feature of many Fischer wedding rings. They show
