Surfaces
"Not everything (that is gold) necessarily has to shine": Each profile ring is available with a wide variety of surface structures.
High-gloss polished: With the help of fine polishing pastes, the wedding ring is manually polished to a high shine on the polishing motor. This shine lasts a long time, but will gradually change to a matt surface due to wear.
Fine matt: Also known as silk matt. This surface is the most frequently selected alongside high-gloss polished. You should make the customer aware that a matt ring will not remain matt for a lifetime, but that the surface will change to a polished look over time due to wear.
Sand matt: Very evenly matt surface structure, which allows the different colors to stand out beautifully, especially in multi-colored rings. This surface is rather scratch-sensitive.
Friction matt/Quermatt: The surface is finished with a scotch mat. The circular movements create this appearance. Wear properties like fine matt.
Bevel matt: The very tight surface matting is created with a polishing brush. This results in a slight surface sheen and a beautiful appearance. Wear properties like fine matt.
Impact matt: A good alternative to sand matt, as impact matt is somewhat more resistant. Matt impact tools in different thicknesses can make the appearance weaker or stronger.
Exclusive matt: Individual surface created by the goldsmith by hand with beautiful differentiation in color and surface variations. Also recommended as a complete surface matting due to its good wearing properties.
Bark: Roughly milled by hand, which is then sandblasted. Individual character and overall quite robust to heavy wear.
Ice matt: This surface is the most resistant and hardly changes at all, as traces of wear hardly change the appearance.
